The humid continental climate houses evergreen (Conifer) trees, trees that bear leaves, along with a variety of grasses and shrubs. Conifer forests are more frequently found in the north, while the deciduous forests are found further south. The areas that are predominantly covered in grass are called temperate grasslands. A Humid Continental climate is great for farming due to hot summers and regular precipitation.
